My blood fasting readiing this morning was a little higher that usual at 6.9 ... and when I tested an hour after breakfast it was 8.3 ( my spikes are always within the first hour)
So here's the thing ... if it only went up by so little, is that a good thing, or is it still too high?
I realise that 8.3 is above the ideal and I'm normally around 7.8 after breakfast, but then I did start off the day higher than my usual 5 something!

Even non diabetics will spike after an hour of eating a meal even more than you did so I would say your level of 8.3 after an hour is not bad at all
