Hi, I am Stephen and have been Type I for nearly 49 years. After avoiding complications (more by luck than judgement) I have now developed circulation problems in both legs and am under a vascular surgeon. One diabetic friend (Type I) has had a BKA whilst another (Type II) has undergone various surgical procedures. I also know people with kidney issues. Therefore I am keen to learn more abvout the (usually) longer term issues of diabetes. So far I have found these are little discussed on forums so as a change is as good as a rest have just joined this one.
