Hi, fellow Diabetics. I just wanted to check if these figures sound right: I'm on Ominipod Dash and it says yesterday 17% of my insulin was Bolus (Fast acting) and 83% was Basal (Slowly dripping), is this about right or should a higher % of insulin be coming from Bolus?
All of a sudden, I keep dropping low it says lately I've been 30% hypoglycaemic but this is mostly through Basal insulin.
There is no wrong or right ratio.
It depends upon things like what you ate and how much exercise you did.
Typically, my ratios are 50:50. However, if I eat little due to illness, I will take more basal. Likewise, if I exercise a lot, I will take far less basal and eat more so my bolus will be greater.
