Omnipod 5, Libre 2 Plus and Samsung Phone Compatibility

Can anyone help please? I am on Omnipod 5 on a closed loop with Dexcom but moving to Libre 2 + (long story!).

Never needed to use the Omnipod app to add my sensor to the closed loop with Dexcom but it won't do it without the app for the Libre 2+.

It turns out my phone isn't compatible with the Omnipod 5 app. Which Samsungs in the A series can I use with it? I am looking at getting an A55, as I can upgrade to this on my contract. There aren't many other available options.

Everything I look at online is just about the compatibility with standard Libre 2s, not the 2+. It also looks like the lists of available phones haven't been updated online for a while, so the A55 isn't on there, despite being a newish model.

Can anyone help before I buy a phone that turns out to.be useless?

We've just been to a NHS pump training day, when we were told that there is as yet no phone app that works with FreeLibre 2+ and the Omnipod 5; instead, one must use a dedicated handset, they said,
 
I totally get how frustrating it can be trying to figure out which phone will work. The A55 should work fine with the Omnipod 5 app, even though it's not listed on some of the older compatibility lists. The main thing is that the phone needs to have a recent version of Android and support Bluetooth LE (Low Energy), which the A55 has.
 
Not sure if this helps but I use a Smasung A50 with libre2+ , which is not on Libre list of compatibility but it does work IF you don't mind the Bluetooth gobbling loads of battery and internet/WiFi. So much so that I have to keep turning Bluetooth off and on to use virtually any other app on my phone. That, however means losing alarms when Bluetooth is off. Not at all ideal for T1s.

So maybe, before committing to new phone try it on what you've got, see if it does work? Is that possible? (I'm not very techy, sorry)
