Go after it ... and if we can, keep it international

Scott McKenzie - San Francisco
Norm Greenbaum - Spirit in the Sky
Thunderclap Newman - Something in the air

That's 3 to kick it off so get the brains ticking shall we ?

Do you mean "The lion sleeps tonight"? If so, it's been a one hit wonder for loads of singers!

There's another one on my mind and I can't quite grasp it yet. I am close to climbing into the attic to find my old singles collection. This is an interesting thread, but I won't be happy until I remember the other song! Aaarrgghh.

Take care with the search ... or better still, sleep on it It'll come to you

Ummmm Having been up in the attic to find Tell Him - Hello. I find they had another song which got to no 9 but I've never heard of it, so I'm saying it anyway (please don't say I have wasted my morning)

I do mean that one, but the guy that sang it was never heard from again

I think you are cheating and looking at a list lol
How very very dare you lol !
Those are 2 of my favourite tunes from that era. I also love Ghost in my House by R Dean Taylor. I was gonna put that down but also had hit with Indiana Wants Me.
