Talking of names did the shed ever get named..just wondered whether I missed that postI checked for mites earlier, not a mite to be seen, but have dusted the coup just in case, and put some ceramic eggs in their nests to encourage them, good thing they are colour blind as I could only get coloured eggs, now they have a man about the house they should start laying, That rooster is a Rhode Island Red, maybe we should call him Roddy.
Punch and Judy is good, I thought of Jack and Jill, maybe when we have enough names a poll might be useful otherwise we may end up with a bit of a tussle on what to call them.
I found some packs of wild flower seeds and scattered them amongst the grass lines, should come up next year and look very nice.
Nope, never did. Just tend to refer to is as The Girl's Shed..... Have seen shops do similar. "That Sign Shop" "That Butty Shop"Talking of names did the shed ever get named..just wondered whether I missed that post
Sure , @eddie1968 said he would ... You are in early this morning jan , we do need eggs ..Just dropped by but you've all been and gone... The donkeys seemed happy to be called Punch & Judy....both ever so sweet..... Cockerel being a bit noisy. Telling the world about his new harem I guess. Good job we've no near neighbours.... Believe those red spider mites can stop hens laying but it's a bit hard to check their coop in this light.....can someone drop by to check tomo....
Busy day ... Same here , but only doing bitty things , milk is great ..Did you leave the light on last nite @poohtiggy ? Door was locked so don't think we've been burgled...doesn't look as if anything is missing......ooh, that **** is crowing sooooo LOUDLY gonna put the girl's OFF laying....brought some milk over, it's unsweetened soya. And I've put the longlife skimmed I got in the fridge too .. know it doesn't need to be but will be nice and cold when needed...
Checked al water for animals but plenty left from @satindoll doing them yesterday....I will leave the windows open on night lock, seemed a bit stuffy inside.
Busy day ahead so I'll toddle off now
Roddy .... Welcome ,,,,, the wild flowers are a great ideaI checked for mites earlier, not a mite to be seen, but have dusted the coup just in case, and put some ceramic eggs in their nests to encourage them, good thing they are colour blind as I could only get coloured eggs, now they have a man about the house they should start laying, That rooster is a Rhode Island Red, maybe we should call him Roddy.

Punch and Judy awwww
The butty shop sounds goodNope, never did. Just tend to refer to is as The Girl's Shed..... Have seen shops do similar. "That Sign Shop" "That Butty Shop"
Yes, cups were washed. Explains why there wasn't as much milk left as I thought there would be. Oooh, they're doing a good job....they blend in so well I hadn't seen them.....you don't unless you're looking.... Had lunch in the shed..... We'll in the garden actually.......soo lovely out and with the grass paths cut so easier to.get around. The bees were enjoying the few wild flowers there are so will love it when the seeds you scattered come up..Sorry about the light Jan, don't think it was Poohtiggy, I think it was the boys who came to install the heat exchange units in the coup and stables, it was meant to be a surprise but hey not to worry, hope they washed up their mugs as promised, they have installed the panels on the roofs and the water pipes and will be back to put up the weather vane generators over the next few days, so the animals should have light and heat, hope you ladies don't mind but I picked a Hedgehog weather vane for the coup and a Horse and Plough for the stables. they can be easily changed so pick what you like and stick a post it on your choice
Did you see the mess those chickens made of the compost heap, my fault for not putting the gate on, never mind saved me from turning it.
Back later folks
peaceful at the Shed isn't it....cant stop cos got dogs' teas to make soon but thought I'd pop over to say hi seeing as you said you were popping over.....guess you'll be off soon to feed the brood though won't you (do they deserve anything?Ah that's better, no kids...
It's only the middle one peeing me off. Since he finished college about 4-6 weeks ago he's done absolutely nothing. If he's not sitting in his room playing on his Xbox or computer, he's down here with his phone in one hand and tablet in the other sprawled out on sofa. I keep telling him to go look for a job or just go out for a walk to get some fresh air and get out but no he won't. Just so fed up with it now. Roll on September when he goes back to college.peaceful at the Shed isn't it....cant stop cos got dogs' teas to make soon but thought I'd pop over to say hi seeing as you said you were popping over.....guess you'll be off soon to feed the brood though won't you (do they deserve anything?)

Nope, wasn't me, haven' visited the shed yet but might book it for the night on Saturday. Supposed to be at a wedding reception but don't really fancy it and if I'm in the shed nobody will be able to track me down and drag me there. I have a thing about turning lights off, used to shout at everybody if they didnt do it. I will volunteer to knit jackets for the chickens how many are there? Maybe they need nappies too because if their bums are cold they won't lay any eggs' but... I will draw the line at putting them all onDid you leave the light on last nite @poohtiggy ?
