Out for dinner...

Optional service charge?.. How's that work, lol

Perfect!

I find that Libre makes managing postprandial BG levels so much easier.

£72 per person! That would send my BG levels soaring!
Yes, a very nice landing, always satisfying when it works out like that.

Good God that looks amazing! Well done and a good example of how despite diabetes, there is definite scope for being "normal"

Tim, do you like your freestyle libre, is it accurate? I'm thinking of getting 1

It's typically no less accurate than the blood test systems are @LaineyK.

I know that's not very helpful, but with its assistance, I've identified issues with Lantus insulin and moved to Levemir, and as a result, changed the way I manage my diabetes. I now "sugar surf" and my variance, while not being as good as others, is significantly better than it was, my average bg level is lower and my Hypo likelihood has reduced as I am able to determine what's happening more effectively. It's not so much the accuracy that's important. It's the ability to see patterns that is so much easier. I've also been able to reduce finger pricks.

I'd say it was well worth the investment.

Sounds great. So why do you still need to finger prick and how often typically do you do this?

Probably worth reading the main libre topic, but in a nutshell, it's not always accurate, especially when v high or v low, and if you drive, you need to blood test first. This is not a blood test and therefore doesn't count...
