ozempic & Type 2

Cutting out carbs is difficult for me as I'm a fussy eater, yes the Lansaprazole is for the acid taken after the evening meal, I also take 2 x 500g Gluco phage with them, I was on 1500 but it upset my stomach too much.
Good luck with your GP chat.
The ozempic is supposed to mimic certain digestive enzymes that trigger a release of your own insulin and to provoke satiety i.e. you shouldn't have a rumbling or hungry tummy so perhaps some adjustment is needed there. If this is the most recent addition it is the most likely candidate for what's causing you discomfort.
The glucophage (metformin) is known to cause stomach upsets as you know so I am assuming you are stable on the slower release version?
The other thing to say is that the lamaprazole is a drug which makes it harder to digest food because it is reducing your stomach acid! I know that means you get less heartburn and that your symptoms are coming on before meals but thought it was worth mentioning. We need stomach acid and the reason it was prescribed is because your stomach isn't closing properly when eating meaning that the acid you make is coming up. It is a frequent side effect of people taking tablets who are older.
You sound as if you have a sensitive tummy so just wondering if going without bread/pasta might be worth a try given that gluten can be a big problem for people. Maybe trying more eggs, fish, beef mince (e.g. easy to digest things) might help both your diabetes and your symptoms.
