My side hurts, the pain is deep my doctor says its not my pancreas i would not feel that its too deep Is this true?

Abdominal pain can be a sign of pancreatitis.

Symptoms of acute pancreatitis may include:

Upper abdominal pain that radiates into the back; patients may describe this as a "boring sensation" that may be aggravated by eating, especially foods high in fat.
Swollen and tender abdomen
Nausea and vomiting
Fever
Increased heart rate

Is it like a more intense stitch pain? As I had that for a few months on and off. Consultant sent me for an ultrasound but nothing was found
