Hi all,
I've been a lurker for many years...but I've got myself so worked up I need to splurge!
I've been T2 for 10 years now, and am currently on Exenatide, metformin & gliclazide.
My latest HBA1C is too high. Last year it was spot on - and the background retinopathy I had last year has gone this year...but, like I say, this HBA1C was too high.
So, the nurse has got me testing twice daily until my appointment with her a week tomorrow. Bloods have ranged between 12 & 14, regardless of what time I've tested. I've got myself in a complete state about it to be honest.
Just don't understand what's gone wrong...I have had a bout of gastroenteritis and a UTI recently. Is infection enough to push sugars up that much? What on earth am I doing wrong to have such bad results when they were so good?
Apologies for the outpouring!
