Hi I'm starting on a medtronic pump soon but my dad doesn't like the idea. He's not said anything but every time we mention it or discus It he finds problems or argues against it. I was wondering if their is anything I can show him to convince him. Put I'm still having One as it is or soon will be ordered.
 
Hi I am the mum of a 13 yr old whose been on Medtronic pump for 2 years. The freedom it gives us as a family is well worth the regular BM monitoring ( with occasional nite ones too) and it means just one needle every 2-3 days, when the pump is changed. The downside is he eats more carbs cos he can give extra insulin, hence he's put on a bit of weight, but we're working on that!! Good luck. I'm sure your dad will come round
