Party time! HbA1c and lipid results back

Excellent peacetrain!! Well done!! Happy New year too!

Oh Mrs B, you've made me smile. Well done you, all your hard work and dedication is paying off ...hope next year is even better for you.

Happy new year

Where's the party? I'll bring the champagnes!

Well done @peacetrain. I agree with your decision to stay on the books, but it must be very pleasing to be given the option to come off. That is excellent.

I was given a meter by the nurse but no prescription for strips, so I have always had to self fund. That was a few months after your diagnosis, so the policy must have changed in that period. Did you really offer my services? I wonder if your nurse has found my file under "B"? Lol ..... that is very possible as that is where it will be! I see the nurse next week to discuss my results, so we shall see what she has to say ...... I am mentally planning what I shall say.

For anyone wondering .... PT and I have the same Practice.

Whoooooo hoooooo

Thanks everyone. Didn't mean to take over Bluetit's thread but I wanted to tell her about the new policy regarding testing strips. We go to the same practice.

Btw Bluetit, I've also noticed the practice has taken over the small pharmacy across the road. I wonder ... Sometimes when prescriptions are taken to the pharmacy they will advise if there's something cheaper on the market. I wonder if this will be the case here. I hope it's nothing to do with making money at the expense of patients. I don't really know much about the pharmaceutical industry and the relationship with GPs.
BT got the meter and no strips. I got both on prescription. However I hardly used it and preferred to self fund. I don't understand why they prescribe such expensive equipment ... Well not unless I want to be cynical.
