Patient behaviour upon physical exercise prescription

I'm doing a study to better understand the patient behaviour when they are prescribed physical exercise as a way to manage a chronic condition (diabetes in this case). I'd like to understand better why people don't stick to an exercise plan and if meeting someone with the same health condition to exercise together would help bringing more support.
