Thanks for tagging her....Hi and welcome,
I will tag @ickihun because I believe she has had two kids with PCOS.
Sorry Ickihun if I have the details wrong...
@Jayavin the key is less stress and metformin for pcos.
Of course my diet was very very good at that time of first conceiving. Not as good for my 2nd pregnancy. Good GI carbs and 3 meals a day with veg and little fruit.
I believe the metformin resolves my pcos symptoms.
My 2nd conception was on metformin and insulin.
I was on metformin 3yrs steadily before I met the 9yr old's dad. After 6mths I was pregnant thereafter.
I was very relaxed compaired to other periods in my life. In fact I'd resigned from a very stressful job in London. I was enjoying my free time with a new partner.
I was taking 2x500mg metformin not the long acting one. My average bgs were 6-7mmol/l because of the metformin. I was regularly ovulating but not on the day expected by specialists. A few days later.
I had a discharge to indicate ovulation.
I believe because metformin had had a chance to settle my system down and I had considerable less stress. I feel pregnant.
Don't put pressure on yourself. Try and forget about getting pregnant and take metformin on time.......then let your body do what will come naturally.
No stress is the key when on metformin for fertility. (Pcos wise!)
Specialist don't expect patients to conceive within 2yrs without help. Metformin should resolve that but only if the patient has already been using metformin regularly before trying to conceive.
You body needs a chance to settle down with metformin before a pregnancy will develop.
How long have you been taking metformin?
If you have a choice, I'd relax and keep on metformin. IF OVULATING ON METFORMIN.Thanks a lot for your kind advice.
I have been on Metformin for more than a year. Is insulin injections bad for ttc? My doc has advised me to go for Laparoscopy(ovarian drilling). Just confused do try IUI one more time or go for laparoscopy or give a rest to everything and try.
Don't get hung up on lap. How long have you been taking metformin? The doctor said I'm not ovulating on my own so lap is my next choice. My HBA1C is 7.7 so now they are doubtful in doing lap due to me hba1c

Stress can change a fertile woman into an infertile one.
I was taking metformin and less stress for my body to ovulate.
My body needed a chance to settle down into metformin and good hba1c.
My meter was ranging 5-8mmol/l. Active, loads of walking. Veg in every meal and no takeouts. No crisps or sugary drinks.
Most important is good regular $ ex. No immediate washing for swimmers to be able to hang about. Pelvic positioning to help in relaxed position but elevated. All in a very relaxed environment to wait 10-15 so plenty of assistance.
Sometimes our bodies need no stress.
My specialist said my blood test showed i wasnt ovulating but i soon did.
Give metformin and your body a chance to settle down.
When is your bgs the highest?
Sorry Blood Glucose's.Thanks for such a detailed and lovely advice. I feel better and will definitely follow a good diet to lower my hba1c. May I know what is BGS?
It is highest during post meal (afternoon and dinner) about 170 to 190 mg/dl.Thanks for such a detailed and lovely advice. I feel better and will definitely follow a good diet to lower my hba1c. May I know what is BGS?
