Peak readings

Where is your peak? I can't see one!

You started the day at 7. You were still there when you had breakfast (no significant difference between 7 and 7.3 because of meter variance). You are still the same at an hour after breakfast - so no rise at all. At 2 hours after breakfast you had dropped to 6.3, which is good. All that has happened is that you have stayed level all morning until 12.40 when you dropped. Why do you think you had a peak?

Well I suppose I thought since my highest numbers were mid morning although I take your point they were all close. Looking back over the week my highest numbers are always in the morning whereas afternoon (after eating lunch maybe 10/15g carbs) and dinner (maybe 15/20g carbs) I still get lower numbers. I am just trying to interpret the weeks results and get better understanding of how I go forward.
Btw thanks for your input

What levels do you see before bed?

Mon to Fri this week: 5.7, 6.1, 6.7, 5.7, 5.2 around 10pm 2 hours after eating

They are excellent levels.

It looks like your morning 7s are simply liver dumps that start sometime during the night, maybe just before you get up. What seems to be happening is that you stayed in the low 7s most of the morning. You didn't go up, which is good. This is a typical sign of insulin resistance and the insulin unable to cope with the amount your liver dumped from its stores, but is also a sign that your liver isn't continuing to dump anything significant after getting up - so that is also good.

Providing you have no or almost no carbs during the morning there isn't much else you can do until your insulin resistance improves. Keeping your carbs down at lunch and tea will help reduce the insulin resistance - and a little brisk walking would also help if you can manage that. Morning levels are normally the last to reduce, but have patience and they will.

Thank you for my explaining it all and your encouragement.
