I have been eating peanut butter for a while now but have recently read somewhere that Sunpat is not great (more carbs) can anyone point me in the right direction of a lower carb but just as tasty version please.
You can also look online at what brands your favourite supermarket stocks and read the nutritional labelling. Ignore all those that have added sugars, then look for the lowest carbs per 100g weight amongst the rest. Easier and quicker than reading labels while actually shopping!
But I agree with @13lizanne - Whole Earth is well worth a taste - it's been my chosen brand for many years and well before I was diabetic.
the range of carbohydrates in commercial peanut butter is impressive. Take a look at the labels and test a couple of the lowish end ones, I think there are 9-12%, which have "no sugar added(!)"... I'm pretty keen on the Whole Earth and you have to watch what type it is, as they do a range of nuts, some of them quite carbie..
I've read a few labels and tried a few brands and have decided to go with Tesco Everyday value crunchy very tasty and only 4.4g carbs per 100g. Thanks for all your help and suggestions
