I get gel nails on my fingers and toes, there’s no acrylic in them - that’s a different thing, again I don’t see any reason why not if your feet and nails are healthy
Hmm the Daily Fail, not saying it isn’t happening but I’m not sure how common it is, I’ve been getting my nails done with acrylic and gel polish for 15 odd years, stopped the acrylics during lock down because I had no choice lol - now only get gel, been getting it on my toes for about 10 years, never had any problems- in fact I feel that it actually helps my nails on my feet as I have psoriasis which can make your nails curl and lead to ingrown nails and the gel seems to keep them straightI don't think diabetes Type is the problem, but it could be a problem for diabetics in general
The 'life-changing' allergies triggered by gel polish
The chemicals in gel nail polishes, methacrylates, can trigger an allergic reaction if they leak into the skin, which can see nails loosen and the skin develop a severe rash.www.dailymail.co.uk
The allergic reaction can apparently lead to reaction against insulin pumps and CGM. It may be the Wail is overegging it, but they are not the only ones reporting this.
