Pedometer Challenge Thread

I apologize if I am making light of what must have been a very sad, traumatic and distressing experience but as I was reading your post all I kept thinking was "what a brilliant excuse!".

So brilliant in fact that it is a little disappointing that it is not an excuse at all.

I hope your neighbor is well and that she receives the care she needs to get passed whatever pushed her to take such a desperate step.

Pavlos

Not so important in the light of the events you describe but I managed to complete 10.004 steps. In fact over the last week I managed on average over 13000 daily which I am quite pleased with.

Really pleased you are having a go
That 800 figure does sound like a nice target!

Thanks everyone for your encouragement. I'm now setting my target to 800 as I've now passed my target of 500. Don't know if I'll do it today as I'm not wearing it yet but will try. I do get annoyed that I can't get out or walk distances as that would give myself bigger targets to aim for rather then just having to walk around the house. My house is a lot tidier though as I'm doing the hoovering, dusting and tidying up every day (even though it doesn't need it) rather then once/twice a week just to get extra steps!!

Woohoo Nicola!

I agree, aim for 800 today or tomorrow. You can do it!

Only just got to 2000 yesterday as I decided to spend my day off doing paperwork.

Anyone else get out and about yesterday?

Roll on the lighter evening when I can get out after dinner

Right, I think I've got one of these stepometers somewhere around the house. I'd be interested to see what I actually do, especially when I'm working at home. What's the target? 10k?

Can I include my steps while running?

Woohoo new player!

10K is the recommended amount, but in a desk job I've mentally readjusted that to 5K.

Personally I include my running because I don't go far. I think Andy excludes his (apart from once and he got 39,000 ish lol). I don't see why you shouldn't include it though, it's not a competition and they are steps you do!
