Dont get hung up on the " not more than 8 grams carbs per 100" I'm sure that was meant as a guideline, not a hard and fast rule. Obviously, if something had lots of carbs per 100, and you ate lots, it would be bad. But canderel sweetener, and Splenda, and most sweeteners, which we all use, has 95 grams carbs per 100! Thing is, we use so little of it and it's so light, it doesn't matter. 1 teaspoon of it is just half a gram of carbs! There is nothing magic about the number 8. It's a guide. So aim for food that is low per 100, or only have a little if it's higher, then TEST two hours later. If its more than 7.8, don't eat it again or have less.
