I am waiting to get onto a DAFNE course at the moment and dont know much. I love Philladelphia soft cheese....is this acceptable food for low carb, or is it not? What is a good alternative for toast for such things. Is Dairylea cheese ok to have too?? Im trying to work out some kinda new food routine that i can stick to  Any help appreciated
Don't know much about Philadelphia soft cheese but I'd imagine it would be fine on a slice of toast, my preference is Marmite although some find it too salty and rather disgusting in taste.
Diabetes uk have a book on carb counting that you can download for free from their website. I've not read it all yet but might be worth a look. Also, if you have a smartphone maybe get the carbs and cals app, or buy the book? They have lots of photos so you can compare carb values in different foods to help you choose things to eat.
I can't comment on low carb diets but perhaps these two resources might help? There is an online version of dafne http://www.bdec-e-learning.com/. I've not yet tried it but seen it recommended online.
Crackers (like Rice Cake), are high in carbs, (mostly complex carbohydrates in the form of starch) plus a little dietary fiber. Because of their high carb-content, most types of cracker, when eaten alone, raise blood sugar levels quite fast due to their high glycemic value, and most low-carb diets do not recommend them.
