Hi I am a 41 year old female diagnosed with type 2 diabetices in October 2009.

Since then I am on Metformin x 4 Gliclazide x 4 and Januavia x 1, I also have an underactive thryroid which I take medication for.

Everything has been going downhill lately and I am at the end of my tether - I started with dents in my leg (sorry cant remember the proper name for it), my right ankle has started to dip, yesterday my left arm has pins and needle and lost some sensation.

I had to go into hospital yesterday as they thought I had had a stroke, the hospital said it is my diabetice causing all the problems. I cant get into see my doctor until Thursday - I am just so fed up and upset my body seems to be giving up on me every day in a different part now.

Welcome to the forum Caz. You seem to be having a bad time of it just now.

Do you know what your blood sugar levels are on a daily basis ? Prolonged high blood sugar levels can certainly cause tingling etc as can other non related diabetic conditions.

Here is the advice we give to new diabetics to the Forum, see if there is anything there that may help you.

Thanks for the reply, I have been really careful what I eat, my sugars on a daily basis are between 14 - 22. I feel tired all the time.

I have just had enough, my doctors are useless, they sent me to the hospital turns out it was for my thyroid !!!
