Please help...

I was at the endo clinic today and my consultant said she needs a 24hr urine test for cortisone as I may have a different type diabetes than was originally thought I'm type 2 on insulin if anyone could explain I would be grateful

This is a test for addisons or cushings, both may present as glucose intoleranace.

and a dozen other things including depression and thyroid, I think he is checking for type 1 autoimmune

Thanks uncle and jack nothing at all was explained to me only questions if I bruise easily and have night sweats things like that which I do have hopefully ill find out soon

All symptoms of either addisons or cushings
The test is to see how your adrenal gland is functioning, it may come back normal, doctor may be testing to rule out the above illnesses which are fairly rare
