My router has all but given up the ghost. My ISP are sending out some new power pack or some such thing, to see if that will help. At the moment I can read the forum on my phone, and post with a dongle. However, to some people's relief, my posting may be intermittent until I get the new part. Even then there is no guarantee it's going to work. I am certain I have a spare router somewhere, so will have to see if I can find it. I store all my diabetic info on line, so am feeling a wee bit nervous. I don't really look back, but it's the knowing I can, at the moment it's knowing I may not be able to and it's making me panic. So, if I'm not around much, I'm not sick, just routerless
I was trying to find the post about IGF-1 (if I'm remembering right), fasting, calorie restriction, etc. and thought you might like to listen to the latest Ask The Low Carb Experts as Colin Champ talks about it quite a bit (whoosh, way over my head) in his discussion of cancer and ketogenic diets:

Absolutely I would. I have stopped IF as I can't see the point - externally. Internally may be different, but it seemed a lot of pain for no obvious gain. Thanks, will listen now while I still have internet.
Seems like you are doing right by yourself by being on a ketogenic diet - not so sure anything further is actually needed. You're way ahead of most in that regard

The ketogenic diet just seems to be the way my body works best. I find on a ketogenic diet I have adapted to a calorie range that is allowing me to lose weight at a steady pace and keep low steady BG levels. I am always on the lookout for things to try. At the moment my main concern is IGF-1 and how I can lower it. I think the Newcastle Diet possibly did just that, but I doubt I am still benefiting from than now. So working on a way to lower IGF-1 is my aim now.

Thanks for this, i have listened to it all. It was about cancer and the ketogenic diet, so not really appropriate for me, but the information has gone in, should I ever be unfortunate enough to need alternative treatments, should I ever get the dreaded big C. This may well be of use to others, and is a very good resource to keep hold of.
Thank you. I have cheated a bit, I have a dongle I am using now, but I can also use my phone, but I had forgotten the password for here, so could have read but not posted. Anyway, I have sorted that out now and will be able to use my phone (we must have a half decent hotspot near by). I detest typing on my phone, but if needs must, well I will just have to won't I?
