Hiya could anyone give me some ideas for portable 'take into work' lunches. I know the usual salads, soup etc but want some more ideas. Also I had a nasty hypo in Feb (2.9) so Im a bit scared now reducing my carbs. Any tips please?

I've started taking avocados to work. Easy to carry, open with a knife, munch with a spoon.
I also have a few babybels in the fridge.

I keep mini pepperoni, strip cheese and baby bel in the fridge at work for snacking.
Left over whatever's is always good for lunches at work, e.g. Curry, chilli etc...

Pork scratchings without additives
Shell-on wild Atlantic prawns
Small pot natural cottage cheese, live natural organic yogurt or even houmous if you're OK with carbs
Couscous or quinoa salad if you're really really OK with carbs
Prosciutto, ham, Mortadella etc - you can get a selection from supermarket delis - 2 slices of something can be under 60p. (haslet often has carbs)
High-meat content cocktail sausages
Pickled eggs
Ziploc bag of carrot, cucumber, courgette and celery sticks
Organic Cheddar portions or Babybels,
Small pot of coleslaw (some have added sugar though) or tzatziki
Small pot of sandwich filler (check carbs) e.g. egg mayo
Hard-boiled egg
Wodge of Brie

I know you asked for no salad, but I make salads very often and they end up being very varied. Today I had courgette ribbons with carrots, peppers, chickpeas, a little bit roasted beetroot and pumpkin seeds, and a tahini and olive oil dressing with dried chilli and thyme. I ate it in the sun and the colours were amazing!

Courgette ribbons also go well with some curries, in case you can microwave your food.

Mostly I bring leftover dinners mixed with some more veg, making sure enough protein is included. Most lunch boxes are finished off with some olive oil and tahini, especially if they still need some fat or if I worry whether they are filling enough. Sometimes I add a lemon or lime slice if it goes well with the food.

Thanks guys, great help. For lunch on Friday I had crab sticks, ham and 2 baby bell and some fruit. BS didn't spike so I was pleased with that. Taking a liking to Greek yoghurt and frozen raspberries at the mo xx
