Possible cancer - how does it affect diabetes?

I was wondering if having cancer can affect your BS levels as I've been struggling to keep mine in check for some time, and am about to get results of tests for suspected cancer. I know general illness can affect BS and I know that my levels rise when I have a heavy cold etc. Any insights appreciated. So much going through my head at the moment

I would think that the worry of the possible outcome is causing you so much stress that your blood sugars are responding by going higher.
I hope you get the results soon and take it from there. It is the not knowing that is the likely cause.
