Hi,

We can't possibly diagnose your problems. Only your doctor can do that.

However, the falling asleep after a meal may well be caused by having eaten too many carbohydrates. They all convert to glucose once inside the system and make our blood sugars rise too high. This is turn can make us sleepy. Do you have a blood glucose meter at home? If so, test yourself when this happens and see what your levels are. If you don't have a meter I strongly advise you to buy one. They are the best tool we can have to help us learn which foods are causing high blood sugar levels. Testing before eating and a couple of hours later will show us just what that meal has done to us, so we can adjust things accordingly.

I agree with @Bluetit1802 - I think it's best to see your doc and discuss your concerns because they do sound like they're really bothering you as well. I'd guessing your swelling may be from your heart condition or meds perhaps. But again, I wouldn't know your medical history and I'm no doctor. You may also need to adjust your diet and/or your diabetes medication too if you're getting high sugar readings 2 hours after eating. I wish you the best.
