All, I have just seen the reclaim notice for PPI that was misold to diabetics and need to let you all know that I used ChallengeYour and while they were fab you are totally within your rights to claim the PPI back from any lender on your own by contacting their customer complaints dept. I claimed from one company via ChallengeYour and like I say, they were great (although hard to get on the phone!) but I had to pay them 25% of the recovered amount. I then contacted another lender and claimed the PPI back without paying anyone a fee.
I am not knocking Challenge Your as a company, they treated me well, but you can do it without them
Not trying to cause controversy, just letting you know what I know 8)
Yes, as an IFA I can confirm that it isn't necessary for you to use one of these "ambulance chasing" companies. You can do the reclaim yourself and therefore get 100% of whatever refund you get.
