Rubik
I fully agree with you, far too confusing.
I seldom eat rice, potatoes, bread, cereals or pasta, have them as an occasional treat. I was eating quite a lot of fruit not realising that it wasn't particularly good for me. I now have a small portion almost every day, don't have bananas though. I eat tons of veg but only small amounts of roots like carrots, swede etc. Loads of salad plus nuts, cheese, meats, chicken, turkey, fish. Home made soup with oatcakes or Rivita. There must be other foods that I eat but can't think of them at the mo. it is hard sometimes as I have to cook for hubby as well and it's not right to deprive him of foods that I can't have.
I tried eating some protein before bed to see if it might lower my morning BS but it didn't.
The one thing I really feel has helped is going out for long, energetic walks. I do this about five times a week for between 1 1/4 to over two hours. I bought a pedometer which I use, it spurs me on to beat the number of steps of previous walks. Fortunately I have the time for walking. Also essential is my best walking companion, my I pod.
Sorry a bit garbled.
Best wishes
