I have a history of anorexia, now many years technically in recovery. But Tbh, I only really started thinking about nutrition like a sane person when I started getting metabolically unwell and had to start taking it seriously. The wonderful thing about a real food low(ish, in my case) carb approach, rich in meat, cheese, eggs, fish, nuts and seeds and greens but low in sugar and stodge, is how generous and satisfying it is. One does not feel hungry or deprived. If that scarcity/deprivation alarm bell is something that leads you into dicey territory when you’re told to limit or restrict, maybe you too could think instead of all the deliciously nourishing things that you can enjoy with pleasure and without restriction or guilt.
