My recent blood test was said to be between 43 and 46 mmol whatever it is. The nurse informed me that I could drop the alogliptin that I had been on. Still taking Metformin 500mg one tablet four times a day plus blood pressure tablet and cholesterol one.
The nurse said that if I felt 'funny' after stopping the alogliptin to contact the surgery. In what way am I meant to feel funny? This was not defined so I don't know how I am meant to feel funny?
Any suggestions?
I am to go back for another blood test in January.
If you had blood sugar from 43 to 46 mmol you would be dead, after a few days.
I think your doctor meant HbA1c mmol, a HbA1c from 43 to 47 mmol are considered pre-diabetic. If you’re previously diagnosed as diabetic, I would instead call it diabetic with well controlled blood sugar
