I have just started on pregablin and finding that blood sugars are spiking high..will they settle down?

It may affect your sugar levels probably predominantly because your body is probably stressing adapting to the new drug. But some of these drugs actually do increase blood sugar. I'm on baclofen that does that to me. I've only tried one tab of lyrica (pregabalin) and I didn't tolerate it at all. So I wasn't kept on that drug. But it's a nerve drug so your body will go through a period of adapting. Stress in itself increases blood sugar. Also this drug (along with many others) increases appetite so check what you're eating as well as that could be the culprit. Just keep an eye on it and if it's really bothersome, see your doc and check if your dosage is right or even if it is the right drug for you. I would think things should even out for you once your body is used to the drug and dose. I wish you the best.
