Hey guys i had a misscarriage last month was only very early on and doctors sent paramedics to come and check me over at home... they did and my blood sugars were high 16.4 i think so they were concerned and took me to hospital.. at the hospital they checked for keytones which there was non and i was sent on my way home and told i needed to go see my doctor for a blood test... anyways i went and had a glucose fasting blood test and my sugars were 13.9 so i was put on metformin 500mg 3 times a day but to wean myself on them taking 1 for a week 2 for the next and then 3 and to carry on with 3 and im still on 2 a day at the min will have 3 as of wednesday anyway i had to go see the nurse on monday to see how i was getting on ect and i told her i thought i may be pregnant and she booked me in to see the diabetic nurse this monday coming to get things started and i may be put on insulin... anyway i was due on today and guess what! Im pregnant! anyone been in my position before because i really dont know what to expect...? im really scared about injecting but im also scared about hypos they really scare me

I'm sure if you look on the home page you will find something relating to pregnancy but all I can say is see what help the nurse can give. Good luck with the pregnancy  and I hope that all goes well this time.

i have been diagnosed with diabetes from 2008. i was an adopted child so i was stabbed wheni was aged 3 and 5kg of organs were taken out of my back. 1. pancreas, 2. kidney 3. ovary. my real mum was not there to protect me. since my pancreas is not working i have to eat tablets metmophin 4 a day. and called diabetic at young age. i was also eating wrong tablets for mental illness not needed for more than five years, which damaged my other kidney.
since i am a barrel woman. my boyfriend ran away 100 miles. and he said he did not want this anymore because he wanted his own children. i have been dumbed because i did not have a baby, no house, no money and no husband and no home for you.
i had to go into hospital three times. my life is very short and i will die very early age in 5- 10 years time. rotten fish in the house.
so diabetic women should not have children. they should have flu jabs, eye screening and eat tablets all their life. this is a punishment for me for the rest of my life.
