Hi

I was diagnosed with T1 late in life and have just recently started regularly exercising. At the moment I am currently doing a brisk walk for around 30 minutes each day and also doing total body exercises which encompasses the use of dumbbells. I would say I am able to manage my glucose levels quite well but now that I have started exercising regularly it has thrown a spanner in the woodworks and my glucose levels go down very fast.

Does anyone have any tips on what to consume before going for a brisk walk or performing weight training which should allow my glucose to remain in range (4.5 and 10 mmol). I dont mind having to treat a high after a workout but preventing a hypo during a workout is proving to be challenging.

you will need to have some food before you do that as you will probably drop.
