Prescriptions in New Zealand

I didn't take a copy of my Irish prescription when I was down there for 4 months a couple of years ago, wouldn't have been legible anyway. But I did have a printout of all my various drugs and didn't have any problem getting them to write me an NZ one out in the local medical centre.

The charge for insulin was quite a lot though and I was sure I'd read before hand that there was an agreement between NZ/ Oz/ UK/ RoI as far as different levels of reduced fees when citizens of each are travelling to one of the others. They didn't know anything about it when I was there though, I couldn't remember the exact details, and I never bothered with trying to get the money back from the insurance once I got back due to lazyness.
