Problems with Libre2 sensor

My pharmacist recommended using the censor as a type 2 diabetic, having had my semiglutide increased to the maximum dose.
I have NEVER had a hypo but found the alarm was going off both during the day and during the night for low glucose , so assumed the meds were being very effective and began to cut out gliclazide. This was approved by my diabetic nurse .I was delighted to see my predicted Hba1c was reduced by 7 mm .
However when I had my bloods tested there was no improvement. Having spent several hundred pounds on sensors I am wholly disappointed. Is it only me or do others find the sensors consistently inaccurate?

I have been T2 for decades and recently, after a severe chest infection and hospitalisation with impending DKA, I was put on HumulinM3 once a day. I am having exactly the same problem. Because of the insulin, I now get lows I never had with a very low carb diet, weight is increasing. My Libre2 Plus results lulled me into a false sense of security. I was shocked to see a variation of up to 3 m/mol when checking with blood strips. For the huge expense, this is quite shocking. False lows encourage a snack which is not needed. Sometimes my lows are NOT false, and they are not appreciated. I received a replacement sensor when I contacted Abbots, but I am rapidly loosing faith and dread my next HbA1C test now. I feel anxious and at a loss.

they tend to read a little lower for me.
wholeheartly agree with jennyholdings comment false lows encourage a snack which are not always needed. Saying that the instructions clearly state to check against fingerprick before making any decisions. Depsite some of the quirks have found them to be invaluable.

some lows could be the result of pressure low. they also appear to work on prediction. where the low may 'correct itself' a little while after.

imo they are accurate enough and a great way to see trends.

there is some options that maybe available eg diabox/xdrip which can allow calibration. issue with possible calibration, the results could be even further scewed. maybe worth doing some research

hba1c variance at my last test was 41 libre vs 45 blood sample which imo appeared to be accurate enough. will soon see if new hba1c prediction is close or further away (imo i think it will be further away) currently predicted 33 hba1c when diagnosed in january 162 :O

Well done to you! You have done brilliantly.
Thank you for your advice.
Libre are useful for the trends, certainly, but, as I am paying for them at almost £100 a month, paying for additional blood testing strips seems a stretch. I am only “allowed” 50 a month on the NHS.
Keep up your amazing progress.
