Problems with urine and poo

I am on 2 x Metformin 500mg a day, however with this I get diarrahera.
Yesterday, I noticed that there was black in my poo, which when googling saw that is blood.
Also noticed yesterday that my urine was 'foamy/fizzy'. After googling saw that is protein in the urine.
Anyone able to provide advise on this, as I am a little worried, as most of the stuff on google/websites says it could be a failing kidneys.

I believe the metformin causes stomach problems. Lots of people either persevere or ask (insist) for slow release metformin.

however, the black poo/fizzy urine I believe is something you should see your GP with. x

I agree with Mary, metformin does cause upset stomach in lots of people, but I too think you need to see your doctor if you are passing blood. Please let us know how you get on.
