The husband's BS was 16 at diagnosis, beginning of August. Last week we got it down to 9-10s, and this week to 7-8s. He is asking why it doesn't go down faster, given that he has totally changed his diet and is taking a 30 min walk most days . :?:
And he is asking if you think that he could ever get right down to 5-6s. :?:
Type 2, aged 63.
Definite progress Ming!
Everyone is different, as we never tire of saying, but he may well find his numbers falling to better levels still. As his body adapts to his new diet, as his weight improves and as his fitness increases, so his insulin resistance will reduce. The insulin will work more effectively and be better able to drop his blood glucose further.
Well done so far.
