I'm on my 7th pint of water today - drank 2 pints when I took them this morningYou need to drink a lot of water with psyllium husks.
Not a tea person, but anything's worth a try. Feeling very uncomfortable and a little irritable today... the first few weeks of this diet are pretty gruelling. Can I pick fennel tea up from regular super markets, or will that be an online jobby?I have been making bread from psyllium husk powder recently. Low carb and it actually tastes like bread! It didn't give me the trots, but it is perhaps a bit bloaty. Last night I had a cup of fennel tea for the first time and feel great this morning. You could perhaps try that to relieve bloatiness
I got Twinings fennel tea in Tesco. Probably available in all supermarkets. Not a tea person, but anything's worth a try. That's quite reassuring. They're 500mg capsules and I'm following the instructions to take 3 with a decent amount of water, not sure if that's more than I should be taking initially or not! Time will tell I supposeI can only speak as to numbers of fiber that I've taken. start of slowly and build up is my suggestion.
fiber can initially make you uncomfortable, especially across the diaphragm/where the large intestine goes across, I found. but if you only took it this morning that pleasure may yet to arrive. the other thing is wind from the bacteria that are new to the fiber, it takes a bit to settle
Great stuff, I'll have a look in Tesco later. Thanks!I got Twinings fennel tea in Tesco. Probably available in all supermarkets.
