Pump benefits?

@Giverny I've only had 6 notifications to updates on this thread 2 of which were quotes of my posts and 2 agreements, the other 2 were Grantgam1337 at 5pm on Tuesday and ann34+ at 9:19 on Wednesday. No sign of any other notifications, as I've said above I'm on the main full version of the website, and occasionally use the app on my iphone some evenings. Hope this info helps in some way.

Edit: perhaps things are back on track as I got notified that Tim had just updated the thread - with out quoting me or agreeing with me nor even liking me

As a 6'5" 14.5 stone guy though, a pump isn't that big!

3ml cartridges last me a week as well. Apparently the larger cartridges are mostly designed for use with T2s that are very insulin resistant.

i can see its relative to a person's size, and also insulin use, and that type 2s would need the larger cartridge - but would like more choices, i use the smaller medtronic cartridge, but its still large, and would like the choice for low insulin users to have aa much smaller cartridge fitting in a smaller pump . P.S. Re cartridges lasting a week - ever since i used pumps i was advised not to use the cartridge for more than a given number of days - 4 days some years ago, and now 3 days. This, i was told, was because of the potential problem of degradation of insulin. Not sure if this is commonly given advice?

It is however there is rather a lot of research suggesting that this is not a real problem.

Well put it this way I can go 6 or 7 days at the moment on a 200u cartridge and it makes not a diddly squat difference in my insulin needs, i.e. no increase needed due to the insulin degrading and if this was the case why do insulin manufactures state that their insulin's are licenced for 6 days use in a pump cartridge?
