Pump bubbles?

I don't get bubbles when FILLING the reservoir. Mine happen hours or even days after a new reservoir is in use. I can go six or eight hours without eating anything when, all of a sudden, my glucose rises up, maybe 60 or 80 points in 30 minutes. That's when I know to check for bubbles. I'm following all the suggestions I've read on this site for filling & removing bubbles, but the problem persists. I think it is because the tubing connector doesn't sit quite right on the reservoir. It allows bubbles to get into both the reservoir and the tubing. The Medtronic Mio Adv doesn't come in the 32" tubing I need, so I have to use the 43" tubing. The fact that I lose a whole day's worth of insulin every time I have to push bubbles out means I'm wasting as much insulin as I'm actually using! Anybody else wish Medtronic would fix the problem with the tubing not connecting properly to the reservoir? Pump: Medtronic 770G Reservoirs: MiniMed 700.
