Pump confirmation letter

Morning,

After quite a few years of different insulin to try and combat Dawn phenomenon I finally have had a consultant for the last couple of years who felt the pump is the right way to go much to my relief after having a few years with a consultant who wanted to try everything but that.

I have done my card course in Novemeber/December 2015 and then went through a massive quiet time after being told I was on the waiting list and not hearing anything despite going through a bad time with control and a new shift pattern.

I was just about to give up on getting a pump again when last month I had an appointment and was told by the consultant and nurse I was topnotch the list and the 20th February would be my date to get my pump. Now I was just wondering when you guys got your letters with the first few appointment dates on as I was told one would be sent out, obviously beneficial to also show work incase time off on then days needed and yet it is a week from the date and the post has come this morning and still no letter.

I am getting quite down again as I have in the passed when things have seemed to be heading in the right direction then slowed down again and am at the point where I don't want to ring incase something has changed and after getting myself mentally prepared that I am finally getting my pump another spanner has been thrown in the works.

I was just wondering what timescales you received your letters etc in relation to your start date?

Thanks.

Just ring the clinic up and double check the start date, I don't recall getting any letters and like you was told about my start date at the clinic appointments.
