Hi all,

In the quest for a good night’s sleep, I’m looking for suggestions for pyjamas with decent trouser pockets.

Have any tubed-pump users bought any good ones recently?

I am female and uk based, but open to any pj options!

I don’t love button up pyjamas with the shirt pocket, as the pump tends to slip out overnight. My best at the moment are pjs with decently deep trouser pockets, but they’re starting to fall apart!

I usually clip my pump to my bra overnight (I know I know….) but I find that actually buying “summer” style flowing trousers or jogging bottom type trousers have decent pockets. Although they aren’t actual pj bottoms they still serve the same function. My current “pj” bottoms are jersey joggers from Next and the pockets are relatively deep but I’ve also got some from M&S before.

They’re not full proof though and it’s possible your pump could slip out the pockets.

no experience, however wondering if using a few safety pins closing over the pocket would keep it inside, therefor perhaps assist and just use whatever pj's are comfy for you to wear with pockets that do not necessary have to be deep, only deep enough for the actual pump to fit into? You'd just need be careful don't go through tube when inserting the safety pins

It might be fiddly to manage safety pins in the dark, when the alarms are going off.

I’ve tried Velcro in the past but just got annoyed with it.

I clip my pump to my pyjama waistband. Leaving it to roam freely didn't work well for me.

I sleep in an insulin pump belt that I bought from Amazon. It velcros around your waist so no clips to annoy you, it has 3 pockets to choose from and whichever pocket I choose to keep it near my sensor it stays exactly where I put it when I go to bed, all night. I love it, It is sold as a running belt and to be honest I doubt it would even move then, I have worn it when ive been wearing leggings and doing physical work and it always stays put!

Will take a look. Do you have a link?

I got too annoyed with the bulkiness of the clip case. I normally pop it in my pocket or bra during the day and the clip just caught on things.

I've also got a 'hid-in pump belt', but when I bought it (as there was a possibility I might have to be in hospital) they didn't have any of the ones with a window in them, so it means fishing it out if you want to silence an alarm, or give a bolus etc. It's adjustable, so you can wear it round your thigh, or waist etc.
