Hi Toni,
I'm 26 and I got my pump 6 years ago before I went to uni. It lierally saved my life I love it. Some people say it's a lot of hard work but I think it's much easier than the 10 injections and hourly blood testing I was on before. I can excercise much more than I could before and losing weight has been a lot easier also. i would definitely reccomend a pump to anyone on injections. In some countries adolescents who are newly diagnosed are put straight on a pump and injections aren't even considered suitable. It's a shame that in the UK pumps in some areas are so hard to get funding for, I had to wait 3 years before I was considered, and now because I've moved to aberdeen from somerset I have to get reapproved for funding which is being declined to me at the minute. Feel free to pm me to ask any questions, or just reply i don't mind like the other people I love talking about the ins and outs of pumps.
