Hi all...

So I'm 2 months into my diabetes... Made great changes, lost weight.... All going good... But in the last 3-4 nights I have been in great discomfort with my feet.... Historically I've always had cold feet, I always wear socks in bed... I've had bouts of restless-legs, pins & needles... But these past night have been dreadful, pain, tingles, aching and terribly cold... I've been tossing & turning getting more exhausted with each night...

So having read up a bit I think it could be one of two things, it's either peripheral neuropathy or side affects from statins... I am going to speak to my GP about it tomorrow but in the meantime I'd be interested to hear any suggestions or advice.

Thank you

Hi
Sorry I can't give you any advice about the statins as I am not familiar with them apart from knowing that they can cause cramp. I think it would perhaps be strange for peripheral neuropathy to suddenly arrive - but again, I am no expert. I just wanted to say I think you're doing the right thing in getting your doctor's advice.
Do you do any exercise? That could certainly help with circulation and restless /fizzy legs.
Anyway, good luck and it's great that you have already made changes and lost weight.
