Q for mods or admin please. When searching for forum users previous posts (or rather attempting to), if they limit their profile, it is impossible to do this. Surely posts on the forum are public, and not part of a personal profile, so why can't they be accessed?
If I find somebody an interesting poster, or they make reference to a topic previously discussed, it would be really helpful to see what they had to say about a topic at an earlier point in time - but we can't.

Is there no way to keep personal details about individuals private, but to enable posting history to be seen?

u can by finding a post by the person on a thread and then clicking on the post count number bit next to the messages bit underneath the persons avatar and it gives u a list of there posts

You can still use the search function, though it's not as efficient as the "postings" section on profiles. When you click on search, you can enter a member's name in the "Posted by member" section.

I was just rehearsing how to answer you Simon, something about me kicking myself for being so slow on the uptake but it's so good to know I'm not the only one!

Thanks
