Hi emma i am a type 2.
What sort of desserts do you like to eat, that you cant, at a special occasion?
A..Just a bit of strawberry cheesecake, but can't not even a small slice
What sort of cake would you prefer at a special occasion?
A..Cheesecake
Are you limited to the amount of cake/dessert you can eat at a special occasion?
A..Yes none, because any sort of cake/dessert would send my blood sugar through the roof, not worth the the suffering!
Would you buy a product e.g. a birthday cake, if it was suitable for people suffering from diabetes?
A.. Any sort of stuff made for diabetics is covered in laxative, take thortons chocolate etc, to make the taste they use laxative... Answer would be no.
Yes or No
If so, how much would you pay for a dessert or cake that is suitable for a special occasion?
A...£2 or above depends on what it is, how many carbs is contained with in it! How many different types of sugar or sweetners are used in it.
Have you seen anything like this product on the supermarket shelves before?
Yes
If so, where?
A... Thorntons, but they contain laxative.
What sort of size do you think the product should be? For example, would you mind other people eating this product or would you prefer a smaller option just for a couple of people?
A.. unsure of size, would never stop someone else eating it, would need to know what it contains before i try!
Why would you like to have a product specially designed for people with diabetes?
A... Have you seen the amount of carbs conatined in desserts, Take ambrossia creamed rice, Half can 33.8 carbs in that alone.
I hope this offers some sort of help!
Sandy
