Hello
I have been recalled to my medical centre due to a high GGT liver function test from routine screening. The blood test has been repeated and if still raised I will be referred to a specialist. I have recently been started on 1 x Januvia 100mg and I also take 4 x Metformin 500mg tablets per day. My last blood glucose result was 7.5 (my previous result was 8.3). I have been diagnosed for 2 years and it is only recently I have really started to take Diabetes serioulsy having been hiding my head in the sand.
I very rarely drink alcohol so this is not the cause of the GGT being raised. I am obese but I am fairly active, I have started on Low Carbs and I have lost weight and feeling good !
Has anyone else had high GGT levels and what was the outcome
