My ratio for breakfast is 1 unit to 30g but what if I only want 10g? Surely if I inject 1 unit I would go hypo and if I don't inject any I would go too high?

Do you have a half unit pen? If not ask your GP for a NovoPen Echo

You'd still use NovoRapid, but if you're currently using pre-filled pens, then you'd need to switch to NovoRapid cartridges for the Echo pen

If you're not using Novorapid insulin pen cartridges and using Humalog or Apidra instead, you will be able to use a Lilly pen that delivers in half units. These are quite good and you could use 0.5u for 15g carb

I am currently using novorapid and they are pre filled. I'll call my dsn in the morning to see if she can get me the novopen echo. Thank you everyone
