Sometimes a little treat can taking the edge of cravings
Try 85% plain chocolate. Lidl and aldis come with big flat squares that are 10g weight each. I then break each square into 9 smaller bits and let each morsel melt slowly on my tongue. It's very satisfying and can take quite a while, by which time the craving has gone away.
Another trick is one I learned from Mary Berry, the TV cook. She keeps slim by using the 2 bite rule. The first bite satisfies the "what does that taste like" questions and the second bite satisfies the craving. I find this works for me as my hubby only lets me have 2 bites of whatever it is he's having that set me off in the first place.
Obviously this option does take some self control and only you know if its likely to set you off on a binge excess.
The further on low carbing I've gone the less I get cravings, and the less I like the sweet food when I do try it. I like being slim and having low bg so much more than that bloated, lethargic blob I was.
You will get there too, in time.
The very fact you posted here shows you can succeed.
If you do wobble, just make sure it's short and sharp and you learn from it, then get straight back to your new way of eating. Few, if any, of us are perfect. You fit right in!
