Hey guys i hope eveyone is well
This is going to seem like a bit of a pointless thread in all honesty but here goes anyway haha
I was told by my endo when i was put on novomix30 that i could go back to basal bolus insulin whenever i felt up to it as he was 100% certain i could control myself i just had to get over a psychological hiccup.. So i decided on the 16th of this month to give it a go and 6 days in im still going strong! Havent missed any injections and not many blood sugar checks .. had a few highs which i have managed to correct. I'm really happy with myself so far and am putting maximum effort into not letting myself go back to never doing anything. Dont get me wrong i know i could flip like a switch back to failing miserably but im optimistic for now .
As pathetic as this may sound i wanted to post about this for a bit of validation that this is actually a good change. So if you happen upon my thread leave a wee comment haha
Thanks guys
Novowolf
Good for you, Novowolf. Basal/bolus is so much better, and you will get so much better control with it. Of course you're doing it! Keep on, and feel great. We can have a lot of control with this disease.
Great new Novowolf. Keep at it and you will only gain in confidence. The occasional hiccup is not to be worried about, just cos you scratch the paintwork that doesn't mean you have to trash the car
Well done novowolf. Yes it is hard but the benefits are there if things are in 'some sort of control', both psychological and physical. I have been a T1 for 23 years and testing and control have not been the best however you cannot improve if you don't measure (BGL), simple as that. We all get a bit down at times so don't feel alone.
Cheers
